Henderson Hospital is a member of The Valley Health System, a network of six acute care hospitals that provide care for patients throughout Southern Nevada and nearby communities. Located in the suburb of Henderson, the 138-bed hospital, which opened in 2016, offers emergency care, surgical services, including an ambulatory surgery center, cardiovascular care, women’s health and maternity services. A level II neonatal intensive care unit opened July 2018 and are looking to our Free Standing Emergency facility located in Green Valley Ranch to open October 2018.
Responsible for the nutritional care, treatment, rehabilitation and education to patients based on patient assessments of needs, conditions, impairments, disabilities and age. Duties include assessing nutritional status, developing care plans, educating patients and families, calculating nutritional and actual intakes and preparing special diets.
Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics or a closely related field approved by the American Dietetic Association (ADA).
Completed a CADE-accredited supervised practice program at a healthcare facility, community agency, or a foodservice corporation, or combined with undergraduate or graduate studies. Typically, a practice program will run six (6) to twelve (12) months in length.
Valid registration as a Registered Dietician from the ADA. Current license by State of Nevada as Dietician. Specialty certification (CDE,CNSD, CSP, CDR) may be required for a specialty position.
Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department.
Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
